TRACK 1 — GENERATIVE AI TOOLS FOR PRODUCTIVITY & INSTRUCTION

Weekend #1

Tools: ChatGPT for Teachers, Google Gemini, NotebookLM

Educators learn how to:

  • Generate SOL-aligned lesson plans and unit outlines
  • Plan differentiated instruction and small groups
  • Automate grading supports, rubrics, and feedback drafts
  • Draft progress reports, IEP/504 support language, and family communications
  • Create student-friendly outputs (study guides, vocabulary lists, leveled texts)
  • Use AI ethically, with attention to privacy and bias

Goal: Help teachers reclaim time while improving the quality of instruction.

TRACK 2 — CREATIVITY & CLASSROOM CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

Weekend #2

Tools: Adobe Express + one additional creative tool (to be selected with FCPS input)

Educators learn how to:

  • Design classroom-ready visuals, flyers, and graphics in minutes
  • Create quick videos for flipped or blended learning
  • Build classroom posters, newsletters, and event materials
  • Guide students through digital storytelling and portfolio projects
  • Develop visually engaging content that supports diverse learners

Goal: Equip schools to bring lessons to life with modern media and design.

TRACK 3 — DATA, PLANNING & ORGANIZATION

Weekend #3

Educators learn how to:

  • Use Generative AI to design pacing guides, scopes, and sequences
  • Clean and organize data exports from SIS and assessment tools
  • Form intervention groups based on data and observations
  • Build progress-monitoring templates and dashboards
  • Automate meeting agendas, summaries, and follow-up tasks

Goal: Help staff make sense of their data and streamline planning across teams.

TRACK 4 — RESPONSIBLE & ETHICAL AI IN K-12

Weekend #4

Educators learn how to:

  • Align AI use with FCPS policies and digital citizenship goals
  • Set boundaries and guidelines for student use of AI tools
  • Understand AI safety, privacy, and FERPA considerations
  • Apply prompt engineering best practices safely
  • Recognize and mitigate bias in AI-generated content
  • Build decision-making frameworks for when and how to trust AI outputs

Goal: Ensure AI is used safely, fairly, and transparently in schools.

WEEKLY VIRTUAL LEARNING LAB (THURSDAYS, 11 AM – 1 PM)

Every Thursday, educators can join a live virtual session designed for:

  • Short, focused mini-lessons on a specific tool or workflow
  • Live demos based on real teacher requests (“Can we try this together?”)
  • Open Q&A time to troubleshoot actual classroom tasks

Example Virtual Topics:

  • Rewrite directions at multiple reading levels
  • Create an anchor chart or flyer in Adobe Express
  • Turn a unit plan into weekly student-facing activities
  • Use AI to draft a parent newsletter or event announcement

These sessions make sure staff never feel “stuck” between in-person weekends.

8 AM – 8 PM SUPPORT LINE

From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, all participants can access our support team via:

  • Phone
  • Scheduled Zoom appointments

Use this for:

  • 1:1 coaching and tool setup
  • Quick-turn lesson or template help
  • Troubleshooting prompts and workflows
  • Department or team-based mini-sessions

Think of it as a Generative AI help desk dedicated to your school.
